Manufacturing Engineer – Final Assembly

About the role

We are launching e‑Axle production at our Charleston plant and need a Manufacturing Engineer to lead final‑assembly processes for electrified motors and axles. The role combines hands‑on problem solving with technical project execution to ensure efficient, high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Own the final‑assembly processes for e‑Motors and e‑Axles, developing best practices and documentation.
• Create and execute production plans and support lead‑plant and IPN standards.
• Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and drive continuous‑improvement trials.
• Derive manufacturing attributes from customer specifications and develop Process FMEA and Control Plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, logistics, and quality groups to optimise processes and equipment.
• Communicate with lead plants, International Production Networks, and expert teams on new technologies.
• Participate in customer‑required process assessments and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in automated, industrial manufacturing.
• Self‑starter with strong curiosity and ability to lead technical process development.
• Comfortable working in cross‑functional and international teams.
• Structured, systematic work approach with flexibility for dynamic changes.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Effective communication at all organisational levels.
