Manufacturing Engineer – Automated Assembly

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer – Automated Assembly is responsible for the daily technical performance of an assigned production line at Bosch’s Charleston facility. Acting as the primary engineering partner to Operations, the role ensures equipment, processes and cross‑functional resources work together to maintain safe, stable and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily technical performance of the assigned production line, monitoring machine status, production flow and key performance metrics.
• Lead structured escalation of safety, quality, delivery and equipment issues, coordinating Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Process teams.
• Drive rapid problem solving to restore production to standard conditions and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, work instructions and engineering standards to support standardized work.
• Monitor production performance trends, support capacity planning and assist with launch activities and production readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a production environment.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate production risks to Operations.
