About the role
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, sub‑assemblies and final systems. You will partner with design, NPI, quality and operations teams to ensure new products are manufacturable, scalable and cost‑effective. The role focuses on applying lean principles, automation and continuous‑improvement techniques to drive productivity and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, validate and maintain manufacturing methods, process flows, assembly procedures and operation sequences.
- Support product transition from Engineering to Manufacturing, ensuring manufacturability, scalability, quality and cost targets.
- Drive engineering change implementation, including ECOs, work‑instruction updates and configuration management.
- Apply DFx methodologies (DFM, DFA, DFC) to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Analyze processes to identify cycle‑time reductions, ergonomics improvements and capacity enhancements using Lean and Continuous Improvement tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 0‑2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, process engineering or New Product Introduction.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering documentation and mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team.
Required skills
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement.
- Interpretation of mechanical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering change documents.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Statistical analysis tools, PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans and root‑cause analysis.
- Green Belt certification (or coursework) in Lean/Six Sigma.
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
