Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly drives manufacturing excellence by leading engineering‑based improvements across the assembly process. The role requires a highly organized, self‑motivated individual who can manage projects from concept through implementation while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate daily assembly plans into Assembly Build Sequence (ABS) templates and ensure accurate release of ABS plans.
• Lead manufacturing improvement projects from concept to validation, maintaining a strong shop‑floor presence to identify opportunities.
• Facilitate cross‑functional kickoff and progress meetings, preparing and communicating performance metrics.
• Create process flows, work instructions, and standard work to support operational excellence.
• Influence design standards, buildability, and product quality while driving continuous improvement of assembly processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience with manufacturing process flow and design, plus 2+ years designing build processes and supporting systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and 2D/3D modeling tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of ISO diagrams and ISO 9000 series quality management systems.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ANSI, ASTM, AWS, NACE, API, ASIC, and SSPC.
