Manufacturing Engineer – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

This 12‑month contract position supports Toyota’s battery production line in Liberty, NC. You will work in a collaborative environment, ensuring equipment readiness, stable start‑up, and continuous line performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform machine trials and confirm equipment readiness before daily operations.
• Support daily production to maintain availability, yield, and overall line performance.
• Document breakdowns, abnormal conditions, root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Lead structured problem‑solving activities to eliminate recurring issues.
• Partner with production, maintenance and vendors to resolve technical problems.
• Assist with equipment installation, modification, debugging, launch and stabilization.
• Drive activities aligned with project KPIs, production targets and continuous‑improvement goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, production equipment and line operations.
• Proven experience troubleshooting equipment, identifying root causes and applying effective countermeasures.
• Disciplined documentation of breakdowns, abnormalities and corrective actions.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
