Managing Director of Operations – Executive Education

About the role

The Managing Director of Operations will lead the operational backbone of the Center for Executive Development at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. This senior leader will ensure executive education programs deliver exceptional professional learning experiences across multiple campuses and client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise operational systems and processes for revenue‑generating executive education programs.
• Scale delivery models and oversee resource stewardship to meet program quality standards.
• Collaborate with faculty, program directors, business development and corporate partners to launch high‑impact initiatives.
• Manage multi‑campus logistics, including travel between College Station, Dallas‑Fort Worth, Houston and client locations.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting for the Center.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, program delivery or business management, preferably in executive or higher education.
• Strong communication skills and ability to navigate conflict while focusing on program success.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and travel regularly.

Required skills

• Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM and learning management platforms.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting expertise.
