About the role
Sandvik Mining is seeking a Manager to lead Strategic Parts Forecasting and Parts Planning. The role is hybrid, based in either Denver, CO or Smyrna, GA, and is responsible for ensuring spare‑parts availability while optimizing inventory across multiple drilling and haulage product lines.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all functions supporting sales of spare parts for Load & Haul, Underground Drilling, Surface Drilling, and Rotary Drilling.
- Develop short‑ and long‑term plans, strategic inventory management, lifecycle costing, and logistics support to optimise net working capital.
- Lead parts demand‑planning activities and implement processes that balance inventory levels with supply availability.
- Provide lifecycle modelling and forecasting for major components.
- Identify and manage parts‑availability risks and gaps proactively.
- Collaborate with customers, sales teams, product portfolios, and supply‑chain specialists to create accurate forecasts.
- Develop and communicate KPI reporting both internally and externally.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply‑chain planning specialists.
- Support strategic planning aligned with Parts & Services and broader Sandvik strategies.
- Drive forecasting and planning for new fleet introductions and customer growth.
- Support targets related to revenue growth, on‑time delivery, inventory turnover, and working capital.
- Ensure compliance with Sandvik safety policies and applicable regulations.
Required profile
- Proven experience in parts demand planning, supply‑chain forecasting, or related inventory‑management roles.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing planning teams.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with customers, sales, product, and supply‑chain stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset for lifecycle modelling, risk identification, and KPI development.
- Understanding of strategic inventory optimisation and net working‑capital concepts.
