Manager, Strategic Communications, Sustainability Advocacy

About the role

Google is seeking a Manager to lead strategic communications for its Sustainability Advocacy team. You will shape narratives around complex sustainability topics, turning technical concepts into compelling stories for external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the operational side of the communications pipeline, ensuring timely creation of written and multimedia content.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across multiple offices and time zones to align messaging and project schedules.
• Develop high‑visibility storytelling assets that amplify Google’s sustainability impact.
• Maintain internal alignment, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of experience in communications, storytelling, or related fields.
• Ability to translate technical sustainability concepts into clear, engaging narratives.

Required skills

• Strong written and multimedia content creation skills.
• Excellent process and programme management capabilities.
• Subject‑matter expertise in sustainability topics.
