Manager, Reporting & Insights

About the role

Alcon is looking for a Manager, Reporting & Insights to drive digital transformation within its R&D organization. The role combines project‑portfolio management, analytics, automation and AI to build and configure business and scientific tools that improve decision‑making and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D stakeholders to capture strategies, workflows, data needs and pain points.
• Identify, assess and prioritize digital solution opportunities based on business value, feasibility and risk.
• Translate business requirements into use cases, process designs, prototypes and product roadmaps.
• Configure and deploy solutions within approved platforms, handling workflows, forms, templates, calculations, permissions, notifications, reports and dashboards.
• Lead solution delivery, ensure alignment with outcomes, champion adoption and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide troubleshooting, testing, documentation and user training for configuration changes.
• Partner with IT and vendors on upgrades, integrations, security and technical issues beyond configuration.
• Design interactive dashboards, reports and visualisations that support strategic and operational decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in digital solutions, analytics or related fields.

Required skills

• Experience with project and portfolio management platforms.
• Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of automation and AI concepts.
• Ability to design dashboards and data visualisations.
