Manager, Process Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that enable advanced semiconductor chips and displays. The Manager, Process Engineer will lead a team of engineers to develop, execute, and troubleshoot process engineering projects across the full product portfolio. This role collaborates closely with customers to resolve complex technical challenges and drives technology improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineers in hardware characterization, method development, and application of new technologies.
• Plan, develop, and execute process engineering projects for the entire product range.
• Interact with key customers to resolve significantly complex process engineering issues.
• Develop and implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
• Generate internal and external documentation, technical reports, and validate process engineering specifications.

Required profile

• Demonstrated in‑depth understanding of process engineering concepts and related job families.
• Ability to lead a homogeneous team, adapt plans, and meet service and operational challenges.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues.
• Effective interpersonal skills to guide, influence, and persuade internal and external stakeholders.

What we offer

• Salary range: $147,000 – $202,500 per year.
