Manager of Facility Operations

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks a Manager of Facility Operations to lead daily operation and maintenance of university facilities across multiple campuses, ensuring effective service delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee contracted facilities services including maintenance, custodial, grounds, environmental, and construction activities.
• Monitor facility conditions, identify issues, and coordinate repairs and projects.
• Ensure service quality through quality assurance and control efforts.
• Serve as primary contact for after‑hours building emergencies and respond on‑site.
• Manage building proctors and coordinate facility‑related activities across assigned campuses.
• Coordinate office relocations and other operational support functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Five years of related experience, including three years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and time‑critical situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently, multitask, and respond promptly to emergencies.
