About the role
Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin virtually every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. The Manager, NPC New Product Transition Project Manager will lead the development, support, maintenance and implementation of large‑complex and multiple medium‑sized product transition projects, ensuring they meet specifications, cost, resource and schedule targets.
Key responsibilities
- Define project and program objectives, conduct preliminary activities such as outcome determination, milestones, viability studies and resource planning.
- Ensure projects are completed according to product/process specifications, cost targets, resource utilization and timelines.
- Document all phases of project, program and process development and disseminate required information to functional areas.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, including engineering notebooks, patents, confidentiality, ISO standards and safety.
- Allocate material and financial resources effectively and assign work to subordinate staff for maximum productivity and professional development.
- Lead a team of project leads, managing end‑to‑end people responsibilities for the assigned group.
- Drive research and development of new technologies and incorporate new processes, designs or methodologies into Applied Materials products and services.
- Utilize computing resources to optimize design development activities and resolve complex departmental problems.
Required profile
- Demonstrates in‑depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in the relevant job family and basic knowledge of related families.
- Applies industry knowledge to contribute to achievement of business objectives.
- Manages a generally homogeneous team, adapting plans and priorities to meet operational challenges.
- Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems impacting service quality, volume and timeliness.
- Guides, influences and persuades internal and external stakeholders.
- Adheres to Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and core values.
What we offer
- Salary range $120,000 – $165,000 per year.
