Manager, Market & Network Planning

About the role

Accelecom is seeking a Manager, Market & Network Planning to decide where the next fiber network expansions should occur, building the market intelligence that drives those decisions. This analytical, high‑visibility role blends outside‑plant network planning with detailed market sizing and competitive analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform geo‑market assessments to size total addressable market and evaluate competitive density.
• Build and manage pro‑forma financial models to compare build‑versus‑buy options and forecast ROI.
• Plan and design fiber network expansion routes, feeder and distribution for greenfield and brownfield builds.
• Maintain dashboards tracking IRU, colocation contracts and forward‑looking financials.
• Conduct capacity analysis and keep GIS/planning tools such as 3GIS up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in telecom carrier or service‑provider network and/or market planning (LEC, CLEC, ISP, MSO).
• Strong analytical skills with ability to turn GIS and market data into clear recommendations.
• Working knowledge of outside‑plant fiber networks, routes, feeder/distribution and serviceability.
• Experience with market sizing, competitive density and street‑level pricing analysis.

Required skills

• GIS tools (3GIS, Connected2Fiber, ArcGIS).
• Understanding of IRU/lease economics and build‑versus‑buy analysis.
• Knowledge of FTTX, DWDM and access/transport technologies.
