Key responsibilities

• Manage projects and programs, ensuring preliminary activities such as outcome determination, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning are completed.
• Deliver projects in accordance with product/process specifications, cost targets, resource utilization, and schedule commitments.
• Document all phases of project, program, and process development and disseminate required information to other functional areas.
• Ensure compliance with company policies including engineering notebooks, patents, intellectual property, confidentiality, ISO standards, and safety requirements.
• Optimize utilization of material and financial resources to maximize productivity.
• Assign work to subordinate staff, providing professional development, coaching, and performance guidance.
• Manage departmental budgets and spending requirements.
• Leverage common engineering technology and software packages to accelerate design development and rapid commercialization.

Required profile

• Analyze complex situations or data, reviewing relevant factors to drive engineering decisions.
• Receive assignments with clear objectives, recommend policy changes, and have work reviewed against objectives.
• Provide direction to employees according to established policies and administer company policies affecting subordinates.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate actions.
• Demonstrate understanding and adherence to Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and core ethical values.
