Manager, Implementation & Professional Services

About the role

SewerAI is looking for a senior leader to own and scale its Professional Services organization. You will drive predictable implementations, faster customer time‑to‑value, and turn one‑off custom work into repeatable, product‑driven processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Forward Deployed Engineers and Professional Services team members, setting clear expectations for ownership, communication and delivery quality.
• Own end‑to‑end implementation execution, from intake and scoping through kickoff, go‑live and post‑launch handoff, ensuring clear scope, timeline, risk and success criteria.
• Build and continuously improve repeatable playbooks, templates, estimation models and delivery workflows, defining what work is standard, custom, productized or escalated to Engineering.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Solutions Engineering and Customer Success to surface recurring needs, manage escalations and turn services work into product feedback.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a technical customer‑facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Professional Services, Solutions Engineering or Field Engineering.
• 2+ years of people‑management or technical team‑leadership experience, with a track record of delivering software implementations, integrations or data migrations.
• Strong project‑management instincts – scope control, timeline management, risk mitigation and clear stakeholder communication.

Required skills

• APIs, databases, ETL workflows, SFTP/file exchange and data validation.
• Integration architecture and experience with CMMS, GIS or asset‑management platforms (e.g., Cityworks, Cartegraph/OpenGov, Lucity, VUEWorks, ArcGIS, WinCan, ITpipes).
