Manager III – Planner Days

About the role

The Manager III, Planner Days leads material planning activities to ensure timely delivery of supplies for production. This role maintains optimal inventory levels, coordinates with purchasing, production, and engineering, and directs a team of planners and expediters.

Key responsibilities

• Plan requirements for purchasing materials or services and ensure delivery aligns with production schedules.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and conduct physical inventories for verification.
• Implement and maintain distribution, work authorization, dispatching, expediting, and floor scheduling procedures.
• Direct planners and expediters to achieve company objectives.
• Evaluate acceptable inventory levels and foster relationships with purchasing, production, and engineering.
• Review material schedules and coordinate efficient movement of materials across functions.
• Monitor plans, schedules, and material movement throughout the production cycle.
