Manager, Controls and Governance

About the role

OKX, a crypto exchange and developer of OKX Wallet, is hiring a Manager, Controls and Governance for its US business. The role strengthens the first line of defense and acts as the main operational link between the US business and control functions, working alongside control teams on KYC/KYB onboarding, content reviews, executive reporting and customer support alignment.

Key responsibilities

• KYC / KYB pipeline and remediation: support Compliance-managed onboarding pipelines, identify friction points and speed up throughput between business units and Compliance.
• Risk governance: liaise with the US Risk organization on KRI monitoring and the risk framework.
• Content governance: lead the cross-functional workflow for Compliance and Legal reviews of marketing campaigns, product launches, promotional materials and client communications.
• Client support and compliance: partner with Client Support and Compliance to align escalated workflows with regulatory requirements and resolve compliance bottlenecks.
• Product governance: work with Legal, Compliance and Risk on risks of new products and with Product on innovation and delivery.
• Executive reporting: coordinate reporting for executive meetings and prepare regular risk, control and performance reports for senior leadership.
• Policies and procedures: support drafting and upkeep of operational policies and maintain risk registers and control effectiveness.

Required profile

• 3+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Operations, Program Management, Compliance Operations, Governance or Risk Management in fintech, crypto/web3 or heavily regulated financial services.
• Comfort in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and the ability to move from tactical execution to strategic alignment.
• Proven track record leading cross-departmental incident response, mapping workflows and running post-incident remediation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and partnership-building across control and first-line teams.
