Manager, Contract Administration

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Manager of Contract Administration to lead all phases of contract development for the university, its hospital and clinics, and the Miller School of Medicine. The role involves drafting, negotiating, and ensuring compliance of a wide range of commercial and privacy agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, analyze, and negotiate diverse contracts while ensuring alignment with laws, regulations, and university policies.
• Conduct detailed reviews of contract terms, special provisions, and financial implications.
• Provide clear legal risk assessments and advice to internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate favorable terms with external parties and maintain strong relationships across university units.
• Maintain and update contract templates, guidelines, and documentation.
• Deliver training to supply chain and procurement teams on contracting policies.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, especially data‑privacy regulations.
• Identify process improvements and resolve contract issues creatively.

Required profile

• J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant contract administration or legal experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical reasoning, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
