Manager, Accounting Policy & Controls

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Manager of Accounting Policy & Controls to lead technical accounting guidance across complex transactions, M&A activities and regulatory reporting. The role partners with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, HR and fund accounting teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct periodic reviews of technical accounting areas such as consolidation, VIE assessments, segment reporting, revenue recognition, management fee arrangements, restructuring and impairment.
• Lead ad‑hoc accounting research projects, including new standard implementations and business combinations.
• Review quarterly financial statements and public filings (10‑Q, 10‑K) to provide quality assurance.
• Identify emerging disclosure risks and develop appropriate responses.
• Provide finance leadership with analysis of industry trends and support corporate audit activities.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
• CPA certification.
• 6+ years of public accounting, US GAAP policy or SEC reporting experience.
• Proven ability to draft technical accounting memoranda and policy documents.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex issues to non‑technical audiences.
