Make Ready/Turn Technician

About the role

The Make Ready/Turn Technician ensures vacant apartments are restored to market‑ready condition quickly and to Greystar’s quality standards. You will perform a range of technical and mechanical tasks that prepare units for new residents while maintaining safety and cost‑control practices.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements listed on the community’s make‑ready checklist before new resident move‑in.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect and repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting for vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, including trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑cutting initiatives by fixing parts instead of replacing them and using materials efficiently.
• Document completed work and checklist items promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions, and address maintenance complaints promptly.
