Make Ready/Turn Technician (Avana Chase)

About the role

The Make Ready/Turn Technician ensures vacant apartments are restored to market‑ready condition quickly and to Greystar’s quality standards. Working on‑site at the Avana Chase community, you will perform a range of technical and mechanical tasks that prepare units for new residents.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements required before resident move‑in, following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect, repair, or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting on vacant and occupied units under supervision.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document all work and checklist completion promptly.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents accurately.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answering questions and addressing maintenance complaints efficiently.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Availability Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.
• Commitment to cost‑control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Willingness to adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.
