Make Ready/Turn Technician – Apex Marathon Village

About the role

The Make Ready/Turn Technician ensures vacant apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. Working on‑site at Apex Marathon Village, you will perform a variety of technical and mechanical tasks to turn units into market‑ready homes.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements on vacant units following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units per supervisor direction.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by fixing parts instead of replacing them when possible.
• Document all work in the make‑ready checklist and required maintenance logs.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents promptly.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions, and address maintenance complaints efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Attention to detail and adherence to Greystar’s quality and safety standards.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and effective communication with residents and team members.
• Willingness to work a rotating on‑call schedule in addition to regular Monday‑Friday hours.
