Make Ready Specialist – Tacara Gruene

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Make Ready Specialist to prepare vacant apartments at the Tacara Gruene community for new residents. The role involves performing technical and mechanical tasks to ensure units meet Greystar’s quality standards before re‑leasing.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements on vacant units following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect and repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting for vacant and occupied units under supervision.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, including trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Document completion of checklists and maintenance tasks promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, and complete required OSHA training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions, and address maintenance complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written checklists and safety procedures.
