Make-Ready Specialist – Prepare Vacant Apartments

About the role

The Make-Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments are restored to market‑ready condition quickly and to Greystar’s quality standards. You will perform a variety of technical and mechanical tasks to turn over units for new residents.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements listed on the community’s make‑ready checklist before new resident move‑in.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect and repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting on vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completion of the make‑ready checklist and related maintenance records promptly.
• Follow Greystar safety policies, attend safety meetings, and complete OSHA‑related training.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Customer‑service mindset: treat residents respectfully, answer questions, and respond to maintenance complaints promptly.
• Commitment to cost‑control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
