Make-Ready Specialist – Greenwood at Katy

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Make-Ready Specialist to prepare vacant apartment units for new residents in the Greenwood at Katy community. You will ensure each unit meets Greystar’s quality standards before re‑leasing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all required repairs and improvements according to the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage, repair or replace it, and apply touch‑up paint.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, including trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completed tasks promptly and adhere to safety and risk‑management policies.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by fixing parts instead of replacing them whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety training, attendance at routine safety meetings, and accurate incident reporting.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, responding respectfully to resident inquiries and complaints.

Required skills

• Caulking and sealing of interior fixtures.
• Sheetrock inspection, repair, and replacement.
• Touch‑up painting and basic interior painting.
• Use of hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Pressure‑washing of exterior surfaces.
