Make-Ready Specialist for Apartment Turnover

About the role

The Make-Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments are restored to market‑ready condition quickly and to Greystar’s quality standards. You will perform a variety of technical and mechanical tasks that prepare units for new residents.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements listed on the community’s make‑ready checklist before new move‑ins.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by fixing parts instead of replacing them when possible.
• Document completed work and checklist items promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings, and complete required OSHA training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions, and address maintenance complaints efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and safety procedures.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
