Make-Ready Specialist – Artessa at Quarry Village

About the role

The Make-Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments are turned over to market‑ready condition quickly and to Greystar’s quality standards. This hands‑on role combines routine repairs, finishing work, and basic property upkeep to support resident move‑ins.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements on vacant units following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair or replace it.
• Perform touch‑up painting on vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control by fixing parts instead of replacing them and using materials efficiently.
• Document all work and complete the make‑ready checklist promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and resolve maintenance complaints quickly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, sit for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, and crawling.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written checklists and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Caulking and sealing techniques.
• Sheetrock inspection and repair.
• Touch‑up painting.
• Pressure‑washing equipment operation.
• Use of basic hand tools for maintenance tasks.
