Major Giving Manager – East Region

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dynamic Major Giving Manager for its East region. Reporting to the USA Philanthropy team, you will support high‑net‑worth donor relationships, helping the organization raise critical funds to respond to humanitarian crises worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with assigned Officer(s) to implement fundraising strategies for high‑net‑worth individuals, driving revenue growth.
• Draft and personalize correspondence, letters, and contact reports to nurture donor relationships.
• Coordinate payment processing and ensure compliance with IRC and donor policies.
• Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and briefings for prospect and donor engagements.
• Manage donor portfolio expectations, track progress, and maintain up‑to‑date records in the donor database.
• Oversee stewardship reporting, communications, and recognition activities in line with donor plans.
• Collaborate across External Relations to align donor engagement and stewardship initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in major‑gift fundraising or philanthropy, preferably with high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to craft compelling donor correspondence.
• Detail‑oriented with experience handling payment documentation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with officers, leadership, and cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for humanitarian work and commitment to advancing the IRC’s mission.
