About the role
The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts (ASMSA) seeks a Maintenance Worker to keep its residential campus safe, welcoming, and efficiently operating. This position supports daily building and grounds upkeep, ensuring a high‑quality environment for students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Execute work orders assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Set up chairs and tables for meetings or classroom functions.
- Perform minor remodel tasks such as sheetrock installation, door hanging, surface preparation, scraping, and painting.
- Carry out routine electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Maintain grounds through mowing, weeding, and trimming.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and pick up purchases from local vendors when authorized.
- Store tools, equipment, and supplies in their proper locations after use.
