Maintenance Technician (YCA Ft. Stewart)

About the role

The Georgia Youth Challenge Program (GaYCP) at Fort Stewart needs a Maintenance Technician to keep its campus and surrounding grounds in excellent condition. You will support a residential academy that mirrors U.S. Army basic training, providing a safe and functional environment for at‑risk youth.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical repairs using power and hand tools.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and monitor facility conditions.
• Coordinate with local contractors for advanced repairs or installations.
• Maintain campus grounds, including operating a riding lawnmower.
• Stock and manage maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Utilize basic Microsoft Office applications for reporting and inventory.

Required profile

• Ability to work onsite at the Ft. Stewart campus.
• Capability to operate power tools and hand tools safely.
• Willingness to liaise with external contractors.
