Maintenance Technician – Willow Plaza

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Willow Plaza – including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite position involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them in line with company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs, and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Basic knowledge of building systems and mechanical repair techniques.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and code compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently onsite.
