Maintenance Technician – Vue at The Ridge

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Vue at The Ridge property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety policies and procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and operate maintenance tools safely.
• Commitment to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of work.
