Maintenance Technician – Vander at the Village

About the role

This role performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts, minimizing waste and using tools correctly.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical maintenance work in residential properties.
• Experience handling work orders, inspections and coordinating with vendors.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and documentation procedures.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule (8 am‑5 pm) with rotating on‑call duties.
