Maintenance Technician – The View on Collins

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the physical upkeep of The View on Collins Apartments. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety and risk‑management meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or technical issues and perform repairs in a residential property setting.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of work.
• Willingness to follow established policies, safety procedures, and code requirements.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and manage inventory effectively.
