Maintenance Technician – The Townes at Herndon

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team at The Townes at Herndon. The role involves performing technical and mechanical tasks to keep the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas safe, clean and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, ordering supplies and completing all required repairs.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor when re‑ordering is needed.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain up‑to‑date paperwork for tracking.
• Assist with grounds upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning, painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies and participate in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on a variety of maintenance tasks.
