Maintenance Technician – The Stacks

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support the physical upkeep of The Stacks property. You will ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory by tracking usage of supplies, tools, and equipment, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately to ensure proper tracking of service requests.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately.
• Good organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and inventory.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventative maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and basic tools.
