Maintenance Technician – The Scott Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Scott property in Charleston. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the building, grounds, amenities, and common areas clean, safe, and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies and participate in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Effective coordination with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
