Maintenance Technician – The Rowe at Commonwealth

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support The Rowe at Commonwealth, a mid‑rise residential community in Charlotte, NC. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common‑area amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing basic painting and signage upkeep.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Experience in residential property maintenance or a similar hands‑on technical role.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, follow safety procedures, and adhere to code requirements.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Flexibility to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
