Maintenance Technician – The Riley

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team at The Riley, a stabilized garden‑style community in Raleigh, NC. The role involves ensuring the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to maintain proper records.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to work rotating on‑call schedule.
