Maintenance Technician – The Quincy

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the day‑to‑day operation of its The Quincy community in New Jersey. The role ensures that apartments, common areas, grounds and amenities meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and completing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Perform grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems and mechanical issues.
• Experience with make‑ready turnover processes in multifamily housing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and risk‑management procedures.
• Good organizational skills for tracking inventory and completing paperwork.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment and work outdoors.
