Maintenance Technician – The One at Columbia

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its The One at Columbia property. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to ensure the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of materials, supplies, equipment and tools, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials and tools efficiently.
• Comply with Greystar policies and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, procedures, safety standards and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory tracking.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule (8 am‑5 pm) with a rotating on‑call rotation.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning, pressure‑washing, painting and other manual tasks.
