Maintenance Technician – The Oliver

About the role

The Maintenance Technician for The Oliver will ensure that the building’s physical systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm with a rotating on‑call schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks and follow safety procedures.
• Availability to work the stated schedule and participate in the rotating on‑call rotation.
• Attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory management.
