Maintenance Technician – The Maddox

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the physical upkeep of The Maddox property. The role involves ensuring that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies and inspecting completed work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures and safety policies.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory management.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks, lift equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication with residents, vendors and maintenance team members.
