Maintenance Technician – The Lex at Brier Creek

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of The Lex at Brier Creek – a garden‑style apartment community – remain clean, safe, and fully functional. Working on‑site, you will respond to resident requests, perform preventative maintenance, and support the overall appearance of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them in line with company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, task completion, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking material usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools and supplies efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, and established maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
