Maintenance Technician – The Hadley Apartments

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of The Hadley Apartments—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role involves performing technical and mechanical work, responding to resident requests, and supporting the property’s overall operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing them according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures, safety protocols, and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
