Maintenance Technician – The Flats at East Bank

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of The Flats at East Bank – including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventive maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventive maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments: conduct pre‑move‑out inspections, create punch lists, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, complete repairs and verify finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety and risk‑management meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety policies.

Required profile

• Experience performing technical and mechanical work in a residential or commercial property setting.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues, follow established procedures and comply with safety and code standards.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking work orders, inventory and documentation.
• Willingness to work onsite and collaborate with vendors and contractors.
