Maintenance Technician – The Dorel Apartments

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of The Dorel Apartments meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will work on resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and preparation of vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and maintain up‑to‑date paperwork.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and functional property environments.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and attend regular safety briefings.
