Maintenance Technician – The Chestnut

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its property, The Chestnut, meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with the ability to diagnose and resolve building defects.
• Strong organizational skills for managing work orders, inventory, and documentation.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and painting.
• Commitment to safety procedures and teamwork.
