Maintenance Technician – The Bowie

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its garden‑style community in The Bowie meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials responsibly.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and inspection.
• Capability to work independently and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
