Maintenance Technician – The Avante

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the day‑to‑day operations of The Avante property. You will ensure that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly to maintain clear work histories.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste of materials.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established safety and risk‑management procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Good organizational skills for scheduling work, tracking inventory, and coordinating with vendors.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, and operating cleaning equipment.
